The freezing cold weather has prompted me to post some photos of warmer days .
This is the underside of route 78 where it spans the Lehigh river.
Great shot - subtle tones, diagonals and perspective are terrific - nice work, Fred!

@Sidonie: Thanks much, glad you like it !
Nice PP Fred. Sure does look like a big bridge.

@Darren: I Was surprised at how big this bridge is myself, I hadn't noticed when driving across the top side. Thanks for the compliment.
Simply lovely....I really like the detailing and the sepia was an excellent choice. I think the noise under the upper part of the bridge really works in well with the sepia....classic! Great one Fred!

@Wayne: I processed this on rather hard, was having fun with the effects. I'm glad you like the results. There's a few more shots of this in my computer I think I'll post them , In full living color ! ( remember when they used to say that on television back in the 60's ? )
Something about the processing, looks like an old postcard, and also looks really lush.

@kiah: Thanks much, now if I could only find a parrot or a lumber jack to photograph.
To my eye, it looks like it could be a model. I don't know what it is...maybe the sepia coloring...sort of reminds me of the graphics in the original King Kong!

@Evelyn: Yeah it does give it that old nostalgic feel. An interesting point is that this bridge is probably under 15 years old.
This is actually a crop from tomorrow's shot. After I had processed it I decided to see if I could make a good detail of the underside of this bridge. So back to photoshop ( elements 4.0 to be exact ). I lightened the shadows and it lit up the underside , but it was at the expense of color saturation. I wasn't pleased with the grain until I removed the color all together.
That's when it started to look old. I boosted to contrast for some more grain and then slid the temperature slightly for a warming effect. This is the result , judging by the comments I guess I did ok ; )
Thanks again for your interest and wonderful comment.
I took these pictures with you! Hah... ahh what a memorable day. The day I got my Canon Rebel. Thanks.
