Fred from Easton PA, United StatesHmm after seeing it posted I can tell it's too crisp in detail and lacking the grain of the other. 11 Feb 2007 6:26am j. coleman miller from Houston, United StatesIt always works better the first time! "the moment after something is created, it is passe'" - David Bowie 11 Feb 2007 6:46am @j. coleman miller: you make a valid point, but bare in mind that it's late, I'm tired and under the influence of a six pack lol. Bronnie from Christchurch, New ZealandNever can do it twice! I quite like the effect even if it's not quite what you were after!! 11 Feb 2007 7:02am @Bronnie: Thanks ! Sidonie from Sydney, AustraliaYour reply yesterday to my hankering for the good old times made me laugh till the tears ran. Very very funny. It's the pale sepia tone nearing a pink that I adore, especially on concrete, that's all - and here you've managed it again. Thank you Fred, and thank you for your visits (BTW - Sidonie is a she not a he, not that it matters in the least ...). 11 Feb 2007 8:43am @Sidonie: Well, I don't know which compliment flatters me more. The one on my photo or about my long winded banter. In any case I'm glad no one happened by at the time because they might have called the guys in white suits to wrap me up in a strait jacket, as I was giggling like an idiot while typing that out. I apologise for mistaking your gender, blame it all on that J. coleman miller guy, he confused me with his ghetto jive than referred to you as a him ! Josh from Taichung, TaiwanI like the tone you chose, and great framing as well!! 11 Feb 2007 8:51am @Josh: Thanks much, it actually looks better to me now that my eyes are rested ( did the processing at 1:00 am ) @kiah: Thank you very much , I'm glad you like this : ) Jerry from Tampa, United StatesFred - this is HOT! love it - you must share your post processing on this....... 11 Feb 2007 9:41am @Jerry: Thanks much for the great comment ! Ok you asked for it, I feel I have no choice but to be blatantly honest . Then, if you wear prescription glasses, take them off. They only get in the way and this action would most likely bring you to a similar visual acuity that I was experiencing at that moment. After that I loaded Adobe Photoshop elements 4.0, a handy program I got with my Wacom pen pad. I then picked my photo and happily moved around the little slide bars until I could make out an image threw my blurred vision . At this point your photo should be over exposed, too rich in saturation and probably be a touch over sharpened too. The key here is when the image looks good to you in your altered state is to slide that adjustment bar just alittle more to make sure. Remove all color ! Then jiggle the slide bar labeled temperature until you find a pleasing shade. Respond to comments with gracious replies and don't forget to be blatantly honest when posed questions on how you did it .
@Still: Thanks Still, not negitive but close . Rebecca from United Statesthe sepia tones really make this photo gentle. great framing too. 11 Feb 2007 3:41pm @Rebecca: Thanks Rebecca ! @Francis: Thanks much, I'm very pleased with all the comments ! Jennifer from Sorbonne, FranceWhat an interesting bridge, I love the colour scheme of this picture! 11 Feb 2007 6:42pm @Jennifer: Thanks ! @objectif-plume: Thank you very much for the compliment ! Wayne from Melbourne, AustraliaWhile not exactly the 20s vintage look you were aiming for...I still think its got an interesting feel to it. =) Great job all the same! 11 Feb 2007 10:53pm @Wayne: Your quite right , I rushed threw this one and..was ummm distracted, yeah, that's the ticket ! M.E. from Encino, United Stateseveryone said it all - this is a great vintage look! superb work! 12 Feb 2007 1:39am @M.E.: Thank you very much ! amr tahtawi from cairo, Egyptthis photo realy hit me on emotional level, dont know why, maybe the color theme, the position / angel u took it from. keep up the nice work. 13 Feb 2007 12:14pm @amr tahtawi: Well I'm flattered this had such an effect on you, thanks so much for your comment !
