I heard a gleeful shout, " Look a wheel chair ! " This isn't going to end well, trust me on this one....
I can feel it in my bones, looks like fun, then someone will get hurt, and it will end in tears...

@Bronnie: Ohhh...It's so hard not to give it away ! All I can say is your right, and your wrong..tune in tomarrow !
Of course not - they won't get through the electronic gates with all that chrome bling! But until we get to the end, let's just say that these b&w shots are terrific - congrats Fred!

@Sidonie: Sid I gotta tell ya, without revealing too much I hope. Only one person had to worry about going threw those gates. But she didn't have to until much later in the evening. This turned into close to a 7 hour event and it didn't end there !
I may have mentioned earlier in this series that Hillary returned my camera with over 500 shots embedded in the memory card so this could go on for a long time. Speaking of time .... Oh no, never mind I don't want to let the cat out of the bag just yet !
( Don't worry, I don't really have a feline screeching in a burlap sack, it just an expression. )
Great tones in this one.

@Evie: Thanks much ! I can't take credit for the photo itself as Hillary commandeered my camera but I did do the processing !
Uh oh...wheels, young adults...oh noooooooo!!!! Great photos Fred...the black and white really give it a lot of character, like the crew you were with LOL!

@Jen: Your premonition may be very accurate ! For the crew as you refer to them as, I have to admit even though there is quite a bit of a generation gap they have turned out to be a very fun lot and good friends too .
Yeah sure I know I'm the token old guy lol , but I gotta say it's a unique opportunity to see the world threw they eyes of these 18 year olds. Funny part is and this may sound cliche' but it's amazing how much the world has changed and stayed the same in different aspects since I was that age.
Well I had better stop there, almost got into another one of those long winded stories I did !
I have to say i love the stories behind all of your pictures...

@michele: Thanks Michele ! It's hard for me to tell which I like better, posting photos or spinning a yarn .

@M.E.: Thank you very much M.E. !
So it's past midnight now... where's the new picture?!
14 Mar 2007 11:40pm
@Bullseye: Ahh, since the clock got turned ahead it seems the update doesn't happen until 1:00 AM our time kiddo.
Talking of time...I'm SO far behind. Something I'm not used to on account of living in the first country to see the new day. I only just discovered this gem of a blog today - over a year since this shot was posted. I have so much to look at yet... It's a cracker...I love it. The stories and the shots. And especially the diner series. A real slice of Americana right there!

@Margie: Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment ! And I'm glad you like the stories too . ( They say a picture is worth 1000 words, sometimes I go over that quota haha )
