This is the street view of yesterdays shot.
It's funny, these building where here along time before I was born and while growing up in the area...Passing them many times a week I've always remembered them to be empty.
It's just one of those places that I have no idea what the history of it is.
It's funny how we can take for granted the things we see almost every day.
I like the use of the sepia tones here. Helps to convey the old feeling of the place.

@Laurie: I wouldn't be surprised if it sat vacant for years to come. I was inside years ago, the place is solid and have some pretty amazing woodwork too.
Yes, nice in sepia. Really great perspective shot!

@Daroru: Thanks !
Amazing shot Fred! I live near an abandoned brewery which looks very similar in condition and architecture to your building...only difference is they're about to tear down the brewery to make way for a mixed use urban zone horror. Can't stop progress I guess =0

@Wayne: Some times it's easier to rip down and rebuild then to fix what's already there I guess. Glad you liked the shot !
this is a lovely sepia shot - it makes it look like something from another time

@Jen: My Mother seemed to remember this being a busy place but she didn't have any details . I'm glad you enjoyed the photo !
I remember, years ago (too many), going to one of these mills with my ex mother-in-law. There was a lingerie factory outlet. But since then, as far back as I can remember (34 years), they have been empty! Really nice series of these buildings!

@Betty: Since I posted this last year I've heard a number of uses this place had from few people I inquired to. One said it was a carpet outlet for a few years ( that one seemed alittle familiar ) Another remembered it to have been a lumber yard .
I'll add your memory to the list, it seems to be growing !
