I recently found some old photos from back in the day when I used to use Kodachrome !
It's sorta funny looking back on it now, how I used to scan threw all those slides on a light board with a lupe to my eye trying to pick out the best shots to make prints out of. What I found more interesting is the cost of shooting photos back then made me alot more conservative even with a digital camera.
I've noticed that even though I don't need to take the cost of developing into consideration that old habits just die hard. where I may shoot off 10 or so shots some of my younger friends who hadn't had the pleasure of using actual film will shoot hundreds of shots in that same amount of time.
Oh well, just an observation is all.
By the way this is one of my favorite shots of my old buddy Roscoe, a Great Pyrenees . He was still a pup ( a rather large one at that ) in this photo. We used to walk quite often, well I walked...when in the woods he'd just leap and bound happily threw the trees and brush .
That's a happy dog! :-)

@Rui Borges: Was.... We put Roscoe down a little over a year ago, he lived to be close to 15 years old and was in good shape till the end. That's a long life for a breed who's common expectancy is about 9 years.
But you right he was a happy pooch !
Nice capture of the moment ! Well done

@Carol: Thanks Carol , you develop your own prints too right ? I remember when I had a makeshift dark room in my basement for black and white photo processing. I had all the windows covered with cardboard and used black tape to stop any light leeks, stuffed towels under the door too. But no matter how many precautions I took one of my brothers would rip the door open and turn on the light while I was right in the middle of it !
I gotta say , once you go digital it's hard to go back !
that's funny. No I don't do prints anymore. Just develop film and get it put on cd. Play around with them in phtoshop and put them on the net. I'd love to go digital but need a cash injection!
