And now for something completely different

Once again while I was perched in my favorite seat out on the deck of the Riverside Barr & Grill the unexpected happened . The sound of motorcycle engines and the occasional hot rod aren't uncommon sounds , but today my ear caught chopping sound of a motor from a new direction... Above my head !

I looked up and there it was, a small helicopter hovering over the back of the bar as if the pilot was casing us over. I found myself fumbling for my camera and almost knocked my drink over in the process !

The thought of missing a chance to catch a chopper at such close proximity doesn't come along to often...or so I thought. Moments latter this hovering machine moved off towards the glade between the river and the bar for a soft landing, then the pilot and a few passengers made their way to the tavern.

As I made my way down to the landing site I asked if they would mind if I used a few shots for the bars website , by all means was the reply. Then he asked if the owner would like to go for a quick spin over the neighborhood.

I called my brother Andy down and urged him to take my camera with him, he said hell no, I don't know how to use that thing !
So I got to tag along for the ride, check back over the next few days for the results !
